Triple Treat For Contemporary Dance Aficionados

Contemporary dance aficionados get a triple treat at the end of the month as Unitec celebrates the arrival of spring with their annual dance spectacular, Choreofest: Te Mahuru Spring 2010.

Choreofest is a stimulating dance triptych of unique and innovative student works from New Zealand's leading contemporary dance and choreography programme. These exciting works offer a fresh and varied perspective on art, life and performance through the eyes of the Unitec Dance School's first, second year and graduating contemporary dance students.

The three-part performance season opens on Wednesday, 25 August with Choreofest: Tahi; a four day event featuring the first year dance students. The second year students will then perform Choreofest: Rua on 8-11 September. The season closes with the graduating class of third year students in Choreofest: Toru on 22-25 September.

All shows will be held at the dance studios at Unitec's Mt Albert campus in Auckland.
