Present and Future’, the major exhibition celebrating the life, work and style of founder Valentino Garavani.
Designs from the house of Valentino have been coveted by millions and worn by fashions elite and this magnificent
exhibition will include garments worn by stars such as Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Julia Roberts, Jacqueline Kennedy
Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor and more.
Showcasing more than one hundred exquisite haute couture garments and encompassing more than fifty years of fashion, the
exhibition covers every collection from the Valentino fashion house, including designs from the very first collection
made in 1959.
Accor Brisbane hotels and the Gallery of Modern Art have combined to create an unforgettable experience as ‘Valentino,
Retrospective’ makes its exclusive and transcendental presentation in Brisbane.
The major exhibition runs from August 7 to November 14 and explores the history of the label and the future trends under
new creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paulo Piccioli.
Delving into the themes and variations that unite Valentino’s design approach and aesthetic across five decades, the
exhibition reveals his true mastery of elegant line, classic form and opulent detail.
Accor Hotels Valentino Retrospective Package has been created for art and fashion lovers alike to celebrate this
exhibition of Rome’s last and most esteemed couture fashion house in its exclusive Australian showing.
The Valentino Retrospective Package will be available for the duration of the exhibition and combines overnight
accommodation and ‘Valentino’ cocktails at Accor’s Novotel, Mercure and Ibis Brisbane properties with two tickets to the
exhibition at the GoMA.
Package prices per room, per night start from AUD$249 at Novotel Brisbane, from AUD$229 at Mercure and AUD$199 at Hotel
Ibis and include buffet breakfast for two.
Developed by Paris’s renowned decorative arts museum, Les Arts Decoratifs, the exhibition was first created as a
celebration of Valentino’s forty-fifth and final collection presentation in 2008.
