Sea Shepherd Presents Pete Bethune Talks

Sea Shepherd Presents Pete Bethune Talks

Sea Shepherd is a 100% non profit Marine Conservation Organisation, with its Head Office in Friday Harbour, Washington, USA. We have a policy of non violence and working within International Conservation Law. We use, what we term, direct action tactics to protect sea life around the world. In other words.....we don't do placards, we act!

Our campaigns are involved with protecting all marine species including the great whales, the Galapagos Marine Reserve, the sharks, the turtles, dolphins and all marine wildlife.

This coming Friday the 30th July, we are pleased to announce that Pete Bethune will be our special guest for 2 events within Wellington.

The first being a OPEN FORUM DISCUSSION with Pete Bethune where the public will be given an opportunity to hear Pete's story and ask questions. This will start at 11.30am and go for one hour. The location is Lecture Theatre 2, Rutherford House, Pipitea Campus, Victoria University (by the Railway Station), Wellington.

The next event of the day will be a special CHARITY CONCERT to be held at San Francisco Bathhouse, also on Friday 30th July, and called “ROCK THE BOAT”. This will go from 8pm to 2am and Pete will also be giving a talk at this event. Tickets are a minimum $10 donation entry where 100% of all profits are going directly to Sea Shepherd. We have kindly been donated the venue and the bands have all donated their time to our cause. The following bands and artists, in this order, will be performing: Klezmer Rebs, Hannah Howes, The Charcoal White, Russell Self, Rosé, Oska, The Rodrigo Brothers, Sam Manzanza and the Africa Rhythm Band, Steel Burning, Imon Star, Knights of the Dub Table Sound System.
