Step Inside The Lair Of The Manly Sea Eagles

Step Inside The Lair Of The Manly Sea Eagles – On Maori Television!

The NRL season as it has never been seen before! Follow the mighty Manly Sea Eagles as they invite viewers behind-the-scenes of their 2010 campaign in a dramatic new television series. THE CLUB screens on Maori Television from Monday July 26 at 8.00 PM.

Kiwi supercoach Graham Lowe left highly successful NRL club the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles 20 years ago, after he suffered a massive brain haemorrhage. This year he returned as CEO, to finish what he started.

Tune in as the old campaigner and his illustrious team fight their way to the top, to claim rugby league’s ultimate prize – a grand final win! When Lowe left his role as club coach, his dream of winning a premiership was in tatters. Flash-forward to the present day and the club’s board is in disarray, in spite of recent championship success. Signing on to a one-year deal, Lowe is clear about his mission - unite the board and win the NRL competition for 2010.

Joining him on his journey are Kiwi international players Steve Matai and Joe Galuvao, rising star Kieran Foran and the NRL’s toughest coach, Des Hasler.

“Manly is a very successful sports club, and this is a unique opportunity for rugby league followers to get an inside view of what goes on at that elite level,” says Maori Television’s general manager of programmes Haunui Royal. On-field and off-field drama unfolds in the ultimate reality series on the industry and the heroes of rugby league. Meet some of the staunchest supporters in the NRL as the series pays homage to those who drive the game – the fans!
