Have you got what it takes?
Do you think you have the talent, the drive and the “Wow!!” factor to be part of New Zealand’s biggest Christmas musical extravaganza?
If you shouted “Yes!”, then the producers of Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park, now in its 17th year, are keen to meet you as they search the nation for this year’s most talented new stars to perform in New Zealand’s biggest Christmas musical extravaganza.
Auditions are being held in Christchurch and Auckland and the best and brightest will be selected to perform in front of a massive audience at Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park.
The auditions will take place in Auckland on Friday 30, Saturday 31 July & Sunday 1 August and in Christchurch on Friday 6, Saturday 7, Sunday 8 August.
Artistic producer Kate Ward-Smythe, who has been with the event since it began in 1994, is once again seeking exciting new talent to perform alongside the nation’s most well known and celebrated entertainers both at the live events and through the primetime TV3 broadcast.
Says Ms Ward Smythe, ”Every year we’re blown away by the incredibly gifted singers and artists discovered through the auditions. Coca-Cola Christmas In The Park provides a unique and wonderful opportunity for talented newcomers to strut their stuff alongside a star studded line-up of some of New Zealand’s best singers, dancers and musicians.”
In addition to looking for singers for solo roles, the experienced talent spotters are also keen to discover young singer-dancers aged 8 to 14 years for the coveted “Kids Crew” in both Auckland and Christchurch; plus, for the first time, dance groups with the “wow” factor.
