Final Series Of 3's Outrageous Fortune

Final Series Of 3's Outrageous Fortune

The final series of 3’s most popular drama Outrageous Fortune, launched on 3 last night, drawing a record number of viewers and the highest overall ratings ever for the series.

In 3’s key demographic of 18-49 the show got a 23.7 rating equating to a whopping 45.9% share – easily winning its timeslot, watched by over 447,000 people.

As well as the key 18-49 demographic, Outrageous Fortune also did phenomenally well in the 5+ demographic. With a rating of 17.7 and a share of 38.2% over 711,000 tuned in the catch the West’s return to our screens.

Kelly Martin, 3’s Director of Programming, says the ratings reflect the high quality and production values of the series, which follows the exploits of the criminally-inclined West family.

“Not only are we thrilled to have won in the new timeslot, the fact that we've done it with the last series of the most popular local drama series the network has seen, shows us all the hard work and effort has been worth it,” she says.

“The fans will continue to be rewarded over the next 18 weeks with more of what we have all come to know and love.

Series five ended on an explosive note and the journey the characters take in this last ever series is one not to be missed. People won't be disappointed!”

Chris Bailey, Managing Director of South Pacific Pictures says:

“We are absolutely delighted with last night’s fantastic Outrageous Fortune ratings. We’re thrilled that the audience for the show continues to grow and we look forward to a terrific season ahead.”
