Applications for Environmental Education Fund Open
Rodney District Council is now seeking applications for the Environmental Education Fund.
The fund finances environmental education projects and initiatives that either protect and enhance Rodney’s natural environment or raise community awareness on environmental issues.
Grants are usually awarded for projects ranging between $100 and $2000. Applications will close on 30th September 2010, after which all proposals will be assessed and applicants notified of the outcome shortly afterwards.
The fund is open to any individual or organisation; including community groups, schools, enterprises, charities, environmental care groups and trusts based and/or operating in the Rodney District.
Examples of the type of projects that have been funded previously include resources for an edible garden, the setting up of a worm farm, native planting projects and marine education programmes.
