Sky High Sweets These School Holidays

Sky High Sweets These School Holidays

SKY TOWER TRANSFORMS INTO NEW ZEALAND’S HIGHEST SWEET SHOP

Come and see our lolly shop, it’s up the Sky Tower near the top.
It’s fit to burst with sweets and treats with things to do and see and eat!
It’s really there for children, but adults have fun too!
There’s games and competitions, come see what you can do!”

SKYCITY has created a wonderland for children these mid winter school holidays; transforming Auckland’s favourite attraction into New Zealand’s highest sweet shop. Sky Tower’s resident Scotty Sky Tower and his friend Rainbow are letting all the kids know to come up and enjoy a lolly paradise over the school holiday period from 3 – 18 July. To mark the beginning of school holiday celebrations, the Sky Tower will be lit as a giant lollipop this weekend.

From 10.00am until 3.00pm daily, children arriving for their taste of fun will be greeted with a free activity booklet and pencil before they take a trip up to the Sky Tower’s Main Observation Level where they will take part in the ‘Sweet Test’. After answering ten simple and fun questions in their activity booklet they continue their ascent to the Sky Tower’s highest viewing platform and the home of the sweet shop, the Sky Deck, located 220 meters up the tower.

Children will be treated to three different stations around the Sky Deck: The Sweet Shop, where children can choose a selection of their favourite pick and mix lollies; Candy Floss station for a yummy pink treat; and the third station… Four giant jars of lollies containing different amounts of sweets will provide a chance for the young visitors to guess the amount of sweets in each jar. Children can enter with the winners drawn and announced at the end of the school holiday period.*

Scotty Sky Tower and Rainbow encourage children to dress up in the ‘sweetest’ costume, decided every day at 1.00pm on the Main Observation Level. The winner will take away a Sky Tower Family Annual Pass.**

SKYCITY and Rainbow Confectionary who produce kiwi favorites from New Zealand worked together to bring New Zealand’s highest sweet shop to Auckland’s Sky Tower.

During the school holiday period from 3 – 18 July one child can go free with every full paying adult up the Sky Tower***.

*One entry per child for each of the four jars. SKYCITY will draw and notify the winners and the decision of SKYCITY is final.

**The competition will be judged by SKYCITY on children (6-14 years) present at 1pm and dressed in costume.

***One child (6-14 years inclusive) goes free with every full paying adult admission, children five years and under go free. Admission for each additional child is $11 per child (excluding children under five years). Adult admission is $28. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
