Rapture Ruckus renew bookings with Parachute Music
Auckland, June 21, 2010 –Dynamic Hip Hop act Rapture Ruckus have just extended their Bookings Agreement with Parachute Music, meaning the group will have all its Australasian bookings arranged through the Christian music organisation.
After originally signing to Parachute Records in 2004, Rapture Ruckus will continue partnering with Parachute for Management and all gig bookings in Australia and New Zealand.
Earlier this year, the group signed a record deal with U.S. label BEC Recordings, and relocated to Nashville, Tennessee in March.
After settling into their new city, they have been touring relentlessly throughout California, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennesse and Ohio, touring with band The Letter Black and even opening a gig for rockers P.O.D.
This new record deal means Parachute Records are partnering with BEC Recordings, to fund and release Rapture Ruckus albums worldwide.
The band’s first worldwide release, HOLD ON, was issued on June 3 with stand out results.
Their six-song EP dominated iTunes charts in its first week of sales; becoming the #1 album on the NZ Hip Hop chart, getting to #3 on the overall iTunes NZ chart, and reaching #16 on the U.S. Christian iTunes chart.
For U.S. bookings, Rapture Ruckus are partnering with esteemed agency Jeff Roberts & Associates.
They plan to return to New Zealand from December 2010, to play shows in their homeland over the summer.
