Public Apology For Dismembered Limbs PR Stunt

Published: Fri 11 Jun 2010 01:14 PM
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Friday 11th June 2010
Uber PR & Communications would like to formally apologise for any disruption and offence caused with the placement of dismembered human limbs around Auckland City this week.
We have fielded many calls from concerned members of the public, and would like to put their minds at rest. Whilst gruesome looking and bloody, please be assured these severed limbs are not real, however we acknowledge that the shock people have been experiencing is.
If you have a squeamish disposition, please be aware that limbs will be placed from 4pm – 6pm today, on Vulcan Lane, The Viaduct, Quay Street and Ponsonby Road, so you may wish to avoid those areas.
This activity has been part of a promotion for The Wolfman which released on DVD and Blu-ray yesterday. Also, as part of the campaign a special effects artist has re-created a half man, half-wolf, Wolfman, who has been lurking around Auckland City scaring unsuspecting citizens.
To all members of the public who have been affected, please accept our humble apology.
