News From Sandwiches

Kia Ora,

First up thanks to everyone who made it down to the club over the weekend. Both nights were amazing and really showcased the quality and strength of the Wellington drum and bass scene - well done you!

Onwards and upwards. As always we have more great gigs coming up than you could poke a very long microphone stand at. Check it all out in the up and coming below.

This Friday we are hosting Dub Melita's 'Queens Birthday Tour of Duty' - Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, but 5 heavyweight dubstep DJs direct from the UK:
Sukh Knight
Distinction
Stagga
Mashinist
Itchy Robot

plus Wellington's own P-Vans & Ollie Bassweight.
Now there has been some confussion over the ticket pricing and some differing info on some posters and websites. So just to clarify:
Advance tickets are $25+bf on line from dazzle tickets - and are 2 for 1. That means every $25 ticket you purchase is entry for 2 people on the night. This may not be spelt out very clearly on the site, but rest assured if you turn up at the door with a ticket you plus a friend WILL get in. Get yours here.
Door sales will be $20.
Hope that clears things up.

The illuminate party is happening down at shed 6 this Saturday so no doubt a few of you will be heading there. If you missed out on tickets (it did sell out in 20mins), or its just not your thing, or you are looking for a place to carry on... We may well have the answer:
Rave 202. A huge lineup over 2 rooms. Only $10 on the door - or $5 if you have paint on you. Remember we party laaaate, so come on down after you've had your fill down on the water front.
For all of you that were starting to wonder when the next great house / techno night was going to be... Well, its next Friday. Auckland DJ Tim Richards is going places! His productions are being played by all the big guns from Sasha to Digweed, and his DJ sets are always flawless! We're really excited about getting him back down to Wellington to give the tech house crowd what they have been looking for! Make sure you come along and show your support. Get your $10 advance ticket from here and your first drink of the night is on us.

Lastly, if you're looking for a night out but are a bit short of cash come down on Wednesday for Redbird Radio. You can enjoy a pizza and a beer for just $15, and you might even win yourself a couple of tickets to London Elektricity, as your host for the evening Redbird Jnr has a few to give away...

Have a great week!
