Auckland Photographer Helping Haiti Orphanage

Auckland Photographer Helping Haiti Orphanage

Auckland photographer Al Ronberg is giving his time to help an orphanage in quake ravaged Haiti.

Al has been receiving updates on what’s happening in Haiti from his friend Tash McGill who is currently visiting there; and has been so moved by what he’s hearing that he has put an auction on TradeMe for a family photoshoot, with all proceeds going directly to assist children in an orphanage that is struggling to help the many children in need.

Mr Ronberg said “It’s heart wrenching being safe and secure here, to hear reports that children in Haiti are missing out on so much; they’re getting the basics to survive, but that’s about it.

“There’s so much more these kids need, and being a youth worker here I know how important it is for children to have a solid foundation; that I’ve decided to use my photography skills to help these children.”

The auction is for a Family Photoshot, which includes two hours of time anywhere in the greater Auckland region. The winning bidder will received all the processed digital files from the shoot as well as 25 6"X4" prints.

Al adds “If you wanted to increase the charitable nature of this Auction even further, then I would greatly encourage you to think of a family whom would benefit greatly from this Photoshoot, and buy it for them.”
