TIC TIC Announces Extra Show!
Due to audience demand Paul Barrett has confirmed an extra performance of his extraordinary solo show TIC TIC on Friday 7 May at 10pm.
The show has received excellent reviews from NZ Herald and Theatreview following its premiere opening earlier this week. Audiences have responded by booking furiously to catch Barrett’s performance which shares his firsthand experience of a lifetime with Tourette syndrome.
Written by award- winning playwright Michelanne Forster, and Paul Barrett and directed by the accomplished Jennifer Ward-Lealand , TIC TIC unashamedly presents the wildly funny side of tourette’s, while giving audiences insight into this often misunderstood syndrome.
“The finely crafted script draws on these
often-poignant memories that are presented with sardonic,
self-deprecating humour. With impressive command of voice
and gesture, Barrett brings to life an assortment of the
instantly recognisable Kiwi characters who shaped his
childhood in Wellington”
– Paul Simei-Barton, NZ
HERALD
“Paul gallops through his one hour show illustrating why he has been theatrically successful, jumping from one brilliantly drawn characterisation to another, from the piano, through classical pastiches and parodies, back to finely-tuned impersonations” - THEATREVIEW
