You can't beat Wellington ( on a good day)

By Josh Samuels and Merrilee McCoy

Directed by Merrilee McCoy

Welcome to a satirical comedy where four socially inept friends attempt to operate a Wellington coffee shop – with spectacularly selfish, competitive, chaotic and hilarious results!

You can't beat Wellington (on a good day) is a sitcom-style show performed in an actual Wellington café (Espressoholic). Following the lives of, The Crew, four egocentric friends who run a Cuba street coffee shop, this show highlights how people can be motivated by pride, self-interest, jealousy and instant gratification while trying to "help" sort out controversial social issues that affect Wellingtonians.

Each night features a completely different episode as a new issue is explored and a will feature a 'special guest'!

The “world” of Wellington, with it’s rich café culture, is celebrated as being full of idiosyncratic characters. This show highlights the beautiful and unique aspects of our Creative Capital.

This show will not play in Auckland, and features only 3 jokes about the wind.

Espressoholic will be open to ticket holders for coffee and cake before the performance from 7:45pm. Group table bookings are available.

The Crew – Karen Anslow, Josh Samuels, Simon Smith and Woody Tuhiwai.
