Whirlwinds, a celebration of dance and ballet music for wind orchestra

Tickets: $15 waged, $10 unwaged
The Auckland Wind Orchestra presents 'Whirlwinds', a concert of exciting dance and ballet music for wind orchestra
Conducted by Ashley Hopkins, the concert starts at 2pm on March 28 at the Aotea Chapel of the Methodist Mission at 370 Queen Street, opposite the town hall.

The concert is a celebration of music both for and inspired by dance, including Swan Lake from Tchaikowsky's classical ballet, Luigini's Ballet Egyptien, de Falla's Ritual Fire Dance and El Amor Brujo (Love, the Magician) and The Miller's Dance from The Tricornered Hat. Also included are two original works for wind orchestra, Danza Boleriana and Ballet Dreams. Tickets are $15, or $10 for unwaged patrons, and are available at the door.
