Nau mai! Haere mai! Entries now open from Maori and indigenous film makers for the Wairoa Maori Film Festival 2010. This year's Wairoa Maori Film Festival looks set to be yet another great year, as we celebrate our fifth anniversary. This year's theme is WAKA.
We encourage entries from Maori and indigenous film makers to New Zealand's premiere indigenous film festival experience, occuring over Queen's Birthday weekend later this year, Friday June 4th to Monday June 7th 2010. We also especially encourage entries from local film makers on topics of local interest and relevance.
Mark these dates on your calendar:
20 January 2010: Entries to the Wairoa Maori Film Festival now OPEN.
28 February 2010: Entries to the Wairoa Maori Film Festival CLOSE.
4th June to 7th June 2010: Wairoa Maori Film Festival, Taihoa Marae, State Highway 2, WAIROA.
June/July 2010: Matariki Travelling Film Programme to Wellington, Invercargill, Levin, Murupara, Christchurch, Auckland, Papakura, Waitakere, North Shore, Raglan, Nelson, Masterton & Dannevirke.
