The Man in Black: The Johnny Cash Story
The Man in Black: The Johnny Cash Story starring Tex Perkins and the Tennessee Four
Extremely entertaining...a terrific selection of Johnny Cash songs about hard-livin' and hard drinkin' and hard lovin'. " - The Age
Following sold-out seasons in Melbourne and Brisbane and an extended run in Sydney, Tex Perkins takes the stage at the Pacific Blue Festival Club as the legendary Johnny Cash in a show which traces the compelling life story of the hard-living hero of country music.
Selling over 50 million records in an extensive career which continued right up to his death in 2003, Cash covered a range of genres including rockabilly, blues, rock 'n' roll and folk.
"One of the wildest and most electrifying front men in rock" (Herald Sun), multi-ARIA award-winning Australian singer Tex Perkins brings the legend to life, leading The Tennessee Four and joined by singer Rachael Tidd as June Carter.
The Man in Black: The Johnny Cash Story features dozens of Cash's greatest hits including Ring of Fire, I Walk the Line and Bird on a Wire in a show which tells the story of his rise to stardom, his fight for survival and his eventual redemption.
