First 500 paying Adults receive free entry to Australian Twenty20
The Twenty20 Summer hit the Basin Reserve yesterday in an electric match between the Firebirds and the Canterbury Wizards. The Firebirds chased down 163 to win with 14 balls to spare and 7 wickets in hand. The onslaught was led by Owais Shah who thrilled the crowd with 65 runs off 29 balls, including 7 sixes and 2 fours. The crowd of 3000 were treated to an amazing display of big hitting from a player with all the shots.
Friday’s match promises more fireworks and entertainment, but as well as that we’re excited to announce that the first 500 paying adults through the gates will receive a free ticket to the BLACKCAPS v Australia Twenty20 International at Westpac Stadium on February 26. This is an incredible opportunity to see two fantastic matches for the price of one.
The ticket that the lucky first-500 will receive takes the form of a voucher that can be redeemed at Ticketek for an actual match ticket. This gives the recipients the opportunity to choose their seat when redeeming the ticket at Ticketek. The offer is limited to one ticket per paying adult through the gate. Fans can enter through the Northern or Southern gates.
People who have purchased pre-sales will need to be in the first 500 through the gate to redeem this offer. As at all games there is a dedicated gate for those who have pre-purchased tickets.
With crowds of between 3000 – 5000 at Twenty20 matches throughout the country, and after a fantastic match yesterday, Gavin Larsen has said that “I am confident that the Wellington public will be out in full force on Friday to support the Firebirds and enjoy this highly popular form of cricket. I urge the public to come to the ground early to ensure they get a great seat on the Basin bank.” Gates open at 4pm.
