First home round this weekend for Wellington Blaze

The Wellington Blaze squad to meet the Auckland Hearts at Barton Oval in Upper Hutt in round two of the 2009/10 domestic Women’s One-Day and Twenty20 competitions on 11, 12 and 13 December is:

The Wellington Blaze are playing the Auckland Hearts this weekend in the first of three home rounds this season, ahead of rounds against the Northern Spirit at Kelburn Park from 3-5 January and against the Central Hinds from 22-24 January at Kelburn and the Allied Nationwide Finance Basin Reserve.

The Blaze won all their three matches in last weekend’s opening round against the Canterbury Magicians, winning the Twenty20 match by 8 wickets and the two one-dayers by 9 and 5 wickets respectively.

The Auckland Hearts played the Otago Sparks in Invercargill for a Twenty20 win and a win and a loss in the 50-over matches that followed.

When: This Friday, Saturday and Sunday – Twenty20 on Friday from 4pm; One-Day 50-over matches on Saturday from 10.30am and Sunday from 10.00am.
