The UK’s Observer Music Monthly might well have captured the essence of Mr. Wainwright’s entire career when it recently
remarked that his latest and fifth studio album, Release The Stars, is “complex, melodramatic, ambitious, vain, beautiful and frequently magnificent!”
Since then, Rufus Wainwright has released his second live solo album and accompanying DVD, Milwaukee at Last!!! – again to rave reviews – and will be releasing a highly anticipated new studio album later in 2010. It is very clear
that Rufus Wainwright is a major talent of the 21st Century; the question now is how far will this musical flair take
him.
