For Immediate Release

The NZ International Comedy Festival Presents
AotearoHA! Dai’s Xmas Special

Dai Decks the Halls with Howls And Jollies

Somehow, Dai Henwood (7 Days and a C4 regular) has got his hands on the Xmas party budget and in the spirit of giving has decided to host his own party – which you’re invited to!

Following on from the hugely successful AotearoHA! Tiki Tour, AotearoHA! Dai’s Xmas Special is a brand spanking new show which hooks Dai up with some of his funniest mates who will perform alongside top-notch musicians – a rollicking night of festive fun is sure to ensue.

Ben Hurley, Steve Wrigley, Paul Ego and Jesse Mulligan will be showing us how the 7 Days posse roll, while Billy T nominees The Lonesome Buckwhips will entertain the crowd with their smart and viciously funny musical creations. The stunning Ali McGregor (AUS), who traverses the world of opera, popular culture and cabaret will tantalise NZ audiences with a performance that has been seen around the world in the famous Spiegeltent. The Sami Sisters will share their unique sound and style; while mrs. peacock will entertain the masses with their comic rock ‘n’ roll.

Gish, recently seen on TV3’s The Jacquie Brown Diaries, and master of parody, is whipping up a festive tune especially for the party. Chopper aka Heath Franklin (AUS) will be Dai’s very special guest, hopping across the ditch for one night only. He will be definitely be dazzled by the comedy magic of Billy T nominee Jarred Fell, and could find himself under the mistletoe with the hilarious Justine Smith.

TV3 will be recording this massive party so that you can replay all of the frivolity; AotearoHA! Dai’s Xmas Special is guaranteed to be chock-full of shenanigans and much more entertaining than Phil – that quiet intern who ended up drunk and photocopying his “Christmas baubles” at your office party…
