MTV’s NEW ZEALAND’S DECEMBER 2009 PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS

AUCKLAND, MONDAY 23 NOVEMBER, 2009: A brand new season of The Hills plays premieres on NZ television Mondays @ 9:30pm starting December 14. We witness Kristin Cavallari taking the spotlight away from the beloved Lauren, Audrina and Stephanie, and despite Lo’s warnings to the other two about what K-Cav is capable of, will they listen? Meanwhile, Heidi and Spencer return in full force and provide ample entertainment no matter what situation they find themselves in.

From The Hills, MTV NZ moves back to The City, every Tuesday @ 9:30pm from December 15 as Whitney Port steps up her efforts to jumpstart a career in New York City’s fashion world. All the while in the second season of this show, she deals with new frenemies, rivalries and dramas especially when former love interest Jay moves on and allows Whitney to be the single and available ‘it’ girl of NYC. Cat fights, work dramas and love interests abound as Whitney continues to try and stamp her mark on the city.

Do not try this at home – A new season of Nitro Circus, every Thursday @ 9:30pm from December 10, follows Travis Pastrana and his team of adrenaline junkies once again as they travel around the world constantly striving to innovate in the world of action sports. Pushing the human body to the limit with outrageous stunts they’ve set up, the group of tightly knit friends always push themselves to the extreme – be it sky diving, base jumping, riding or driving.

The actions of the contestants on Tool Academy aren’t up for consideration; they really are tools. A new season, beginning December 9 @ 9:30 and playing every Friday, sees a set of long-suffering girlfriends and their equally suffering best friends watch on as these guys shape up to become better boyfriends with the help of a local therapist. Who will take out the “Mr Awesome” crown and take home $100,000?

MTV’s brand new series Sex… With Mom & Dad plays Wednesday @ 9:30pm from December 9 as Doctor Drew engages in frank conversations with teenagers and their parents. Proving you can talk to your parents about anything, including sex, the show is fun, awkward, life changing, dramatic… but most important of all, it’s real.
