Tui Brewery Brings Local Lads Evermore Home

Media Release

17TH November, 2009

Tui Brewery Brings Local Lads Evermore Home For Family Focused Music Festival

Tui Brewery is bringing local lads Evermore home for a family focused day of great music on the lawn under the iconic Mangatainoka brewery tower on February 27, 2010.

The one-day concert, Small Town Big Sounds, will also feature iconic Kiwi groovesters Supergroove, The Beat Girls, Skapper and Cassius which consists of two hard-working Tui staff.

The inclusion of Fielding-born Evermore in the 2010 Small Town Big Sounds festival is a genuine coo as the band is currently touring the UK with American female singing sensation, Pink. The concert will be even more memorable for Deaf Lemon who won the regional Battle of the Bands competition to support Evermore on the day.

Tui commercial manager, Nick Rogers, says the day will be heavily family focused with people kicking back in the sun on the brewery lawn, listening to awesome music and chilling out on the grass under the brewery tower.

“This will be the second year we’ve run Small Town Big Sounds but this year’s celebration has an authentic family feel and focus. The local community is again rallying behind the event and operating local food stalls on the day as a fundraising opportunity. Last year over 10 community groups raised over $20,000 through food stalls and clean ups.

“We’ve also partnered with Transit and Hawkes Bay bus company Nimons who are both offering transport and ticket options for those travelling to Mangatainoka from the Bay, Wellington or even local areas making it really easy to get here and home again safely.”
