Small Windows Big Impressions is Auckland based Spark Studio’s first exhibition in Wellington. Spark Studio gives a creative voice to the invisible, unheard dreams of people on the fringe. People for whom walking, talking, hearing or thinking aren’t always a given – those forced to adapt to the inadaptable.
Small Windows Big Impressions presents many precious, little works of quiet observations from the Spark Artists, some mysterious and some obscure. These artists are telling stories of an existence full of brightness and cloudiness in tiny scenes that play with media and speak of hope, happiness, confusion and chaos. Their shaky, but musical reflections of the world around them have emerged out of a process of understanding their creative voice. One artist points out “people with disabilities are more original – there are less of them in the world”.
The audience can expect to experience a revelation for ourselves as the works in this exhibition will make us reflect on our own ways of seeing and being.
Join us on Thursday 19th November from 5.30 -7 pm,
For the Opening Celebrations.
