DOCNZ present
DOCNZ International Documentary Film Festival 2010
Coming up to its half-decade anniversary and having firmly establishing itself as the premiere international documentary film festivals in Australasia, DOCNZ 2010 is increasing the profile of Local productions this time around.
Submissions for consideration for the 2010 event can still be made through either via the DOCNZ website (www.docnz.org.nz http://www.docnz.org.nz>) or Withoutabox (https://www.withoutabox.com/login/4140) The extended deadline will end on October 9th 2009.
The DOCNZ Awards have also been expanded in the “Local” category to further celebrate the passion and dedication of New Zealand filmmakers towards the art form – with 10 awards now up for grabs, while also introducing a special award, “Outstanding Contribution to the Documentary Industry”, honouring a New Zealander who’s achievements have helped paved the way for other local documentary film makers.
“Local” categories are as follows:
Best NZ Short
Best NZ Feature
Best Director
Best Editor
Best Cinematographer
Best Emerging Filmmaker
Best Educational Documentary
Best Sound
Best Research
DOCNZ 2010 will be held in Auckland from the 27th February through to the 14th March 2010.
DOCNZ 2010 will be held in Wellington 13th -28th March 2010.
