Circus Of The Scars
Roll up roller derby fans! Pirate City Rollers, New Zealand's fiercest roller derby league have honed their tricks and called in the freaks for their most exciting season yet - the Circus of the Scars!
Grab your seats on Saturday October 3rd 2009 at Skateland, Mt Wellington to see death-defying Dead Wreckoning take on the masters of masquerade, Mascara Massacre in their first clash of the season. With new acts taking the stage on each team and each girl ready to showcase her skills, you're sure to enjoy this all-girl, all-grrr roller derby bout under the big top.
Can Mascara Massacre rise to the challenge and lay Dead Wreckoning to rest?
Will Dead Wreckoning recover from their crushing 2008 final defeat and clutch the trapeze of success once again?
And what is the scandal surrounding the Blackheart Bruisers?
Whether you're into beautiful ballsy broads, cheap-as-chips refreshments, or the grinding, belting excitement of the game itself, Circus of the Scars promises to be bigger and better than ever, so come on circus freaks! Don your favourite teams colours, slap on some ringside warpaint and bring your loudest screaming voice. And let the Circus of the Scars begin!
Standard tickets are $15, or if you dare, try out the on-rink suicide seating for $18 - get up close and personal with the Pirate City Rollers, and maybe score yourself some good luck if one flies into the crowd!
Tickers are available from wwwundertheradar.co.nz, Real Groovy or from your local friendly derby girl. Or roll up to the big top and try your luck at the door! Doors open at 6pm - Bout starts at 7pm.
