Upcoming BookFair Organisers see generosity of the public
With Downtown Community Ministry’s annual BookFair not far away, the deadline for the donation of books, DVDs, CDs and vinyl records is coming to an end.
As the BookFair takes place on weekend of 5th and 6th of September at the TSB Arena on Wellingtons Queens Wharf, next week will be the last week for book collections.
BookFair organiser Graham Booth says, “This year we have a great selection of fiction with fantastic novels available for sale. Another particular type of book we have been bombarded with is crafts and quilting.”
“We have found people are so generous with their donations, we have even been given brand new books from New Zealand publishers such as Random House and Craig Potton Publishing so buyers can purchase brand new books from the Fair as well as picking up secondhand bargains.”
Each year DCM have been making improvements for a more enjoyable BookFair, and this year there will be smaller categories so it will be even easier to find books of a particular interest.
The donation of your old books will help support the different services offered by Downtown Community Ministry.
If you would like to make a donation of books or to find out more about the BookFair, go to www.dcm.org.nz or ring 384 7699.
