Journey Through Landscapes At Art Gallery

Journey Through Landscapes At Art Gallery

Jennifer Cruden is one of Papakura’s most vibrant artists and her work is on display this month at the Papakura Art Gallery. Serenity - A journey through time explores a journey through the seasons through her large scale works.

“It is a fantastic opportunity for visitors and local artists to see paintings of this calibre” says Gallery Manager Emma Millynn. “We have worked very hard to get Jennifer to exhibit here as she is booked in advance.”

Jennifer has also played a vital part in the re-establishment of the Papakura Art Gallery, advising Gallery staff on what established artists need in order to exhibit.

“Jennifer Cruden’s work is strikingly recognisable. She was among the first to establish the style of New Zealand beach scenes, with bright bold colours, including pohutukawa and nikau trees. She has been one of only a few artists invited to exhibit in a 'silent auction' held at the Artworks at the Hilton art exhibition held annually at the Hilton Hotel in Auckland and has been voted people’s choice at numerous exhibitions.”

“Jennifer’s work is sought after and commissioned by corporate and private collectors around the world. Her very popular foreshore and flora works are now complemented by some stunning new art featuring the alps and lakes of the South Island.”

Ms Cruden is represented by several galleries across the country and has been invited to exhibit in Soho New York, and also at the prestigious Florence Biennale Art Exhibition in Italy. She is a full time artist and art teacher. She has her own web site, www.jenniferc.com
