PRESENTERS WANTED: PechaKucha Night Christchurch

Hi everyone

The date and venue for Christchurch’s sixth PechaKucha Night is confirmed!

PKN_CHCH_06 will be held on Wednesday 16 September 2009 at The Repertory Theatre, 146 Kilmore Street and we're on the hunt for people to present at this event. If you're interested in being a presenter, or know of someone who would love to present, then please contact me by email (vanessa@pechakucha.co.nz) or telephone (027 660 6437) with the following details:

- your name
- profession/company
- contact details (email address/telephone)
- a short description of what you want to present
- 2-3 exemplary images
- some information about yourself

Most of you all know the drill by now but just in case... PechaKucha Night is a presentation format for creative work where presenters show 20 images, each of which is shown for 20 seconds, giving a total presentation time of 6 minutes 40 seconds.

If you require additional information about PechaKucha Night I have attached a short document about the event to this email that includes links to related national and international websites. All the photos from previous PechaKucha Night's in Christchurch have been uploaded to Flickr and you can see these at http://flickr.com/photos/pechakuchanightchristchurch/sets/. The videos from PKN_CHCH_01, PKN_CHCH_02 and PKN_CHCH_03 are available to view on http://www.pechakucha.co.nz/ and we are currently in the process of making the videos from PKN_CHCH_04 and PKN_CHCH_05 which will be available online soon

Also, an interview with the founders of PechaKucha Night, Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham, features in the latest issue of Urbis (Issue 51) alongside some images from PechaKucha Night Christchurch so grab a copy if you can!

A PechaKucha Night is fun, fast, and informative. Please pass this email on and let your contacts around the country know about it.

Please feel free to contact me for further information or if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at PKN_CHCH_06.
