E-MOTION - George Hajian

E-MOTION

George Hajian

PREVIEW | Thursday, July 2, from 5:30pm till 8:00pm

GALLERY OPEN | Friday, July 3 - Sunday 5, from 10:30am till 7:00pm.

George Hajian welcomes you to experience his second screen printing exhibition ‘e-motion’.

In this exhibition George explores the raw emotions that shape us as individuals and keep us moving forward. After the success of his first exhibition D:construct (2008), George presents his next exhibition, with 15 new, limited-edition screen prints drawing from the ideas of human values and the eternal search for balance between WORK, LOVE, FRIENDS and PASSION. This exhibition looks at change, comfort zones and how resistance can affect us by ultimately putting padlocks on the doors to growth, discovery and adventure.

“We are our own worst enemy,” says George. “All our instincts and drives can conspire to undermine us or, ultimately, define us.” Using his original photographs and illustrations, George draws on circumstances that force us to re-examine ourselves and set us in motion, which, along with our insecurities and feelings, stimulate us to change and move in different directions of life. “When we stop resisting, we create an opportunity to grow; change becomes a catalyst and the core of all transformations.”

All featured screen prints are for sale, or you are welcome to just come and have a look. Some screen prints from last year’s exhibition (d:construct) will also be for sale at Tamarillo Gallery, 102 Wakefield Street, from June 8 until June 28.

The artist will be at the gallery Friday afternoon and all day Saturday and Sunday.
