It’s only a day before the chickens fly the coup as part of The Incredible Pringles Chicken Race and already there is high drama within the teams.
Following the announcement of Team Chickadees, the twin sister of Claire Kirby, former Miss New Zealand 2007, has pulled out of the race. Rather than make her forfeit, however, The Edge FM will be sending her a replacement – which will be announced live to air in Queenstown early next week!
The final five teams have already been announced all this week on the station, as listeners have learned that the current teams currently comprise of two mates (Team Cock A Doodle Dudes) a boyfriend and girlfriend (Team Rasta Roosters), and a gay couple (Team Chicken Licken) – featuring former television host Steven Oates!
Those teams, and the locations they represent, are as follows:
Team Cock A Doodle Dudes – Dean and Craig (Christchurch)
Team Chickadees – Claire and a mystery partner (Palmerston North)
Team Rasta Roosters – Dasha and Fili (Auckland)
Team Chicken Licken – Stephen and Steven (Auckland)
Team Cook Chooks – Jenna and Melissa (Auckland)
The Incredible Pringles Chicken Race begins Wednesday 17th June in Queenstown and culminates Friday 26th June at Sky City in Auckland. Updates provided throughout the days only on The Edge FM.
