Kidscan Standtall Big Night In Telethon 2009

MORE FM BIG Audition – Are you the next BIG thing?

In an effort to raise funds for KidsCan StandTall, the MORE FM BIG Audition is searching for the best singers in NZ to perform live on The BIG Night In Telethon on August 8th & 9th for the opportunity to be named the overall winner and an NZ singing sensation as voted by the NZ public!

The overall winner will receive a professional studio demo inclusive of studio time and mastering.

MORE FM will be holding auditions across the country from the 11 – 28 June, entry is open to anyone aged 16 years to 90+. Local finalists, as judged by MORE FM listeners will go to Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch for the regional finals. Guest judges and professional singing teachers will choose three finalists from each of these regions to perform live on The BIG Night In Telethon 09 show on TV3.
By selecting their favorite singer by text-to-vote viewers will simultaneously make a donation to KidsCan StandTall.
“We’re raising funds to help KidsCan to provide 28,000 New Zealand children at 111 low decile schools, with shoes, raincoats and food as well as finding NZ’s newest singing talent. There are still 30,000 schools on the KidsCan StandTall waiting list, we’re really looking forward to bringing this number down and helping to make a positive difference in so many children’s lives,” says Holly Dunn, MORE FM National Marketing Manager.

Experience performing in public is a strong advantage but not a must. Contestants should be confident, reliable, vibrant; a natural mover on stage, with charisma and the elusive “X factor”! Everyone will sing acappella (unaccompanied) with no amplification or microphones until the finals. The BIG Audition is for SOLO vocal performers only.
If you think you’ve got what it takes (or know someone that does) visit www.morefm.co.nz to enter or come along to your nearest 1st round audition.
