TAB offers National Syndicate on Harness Jewels
The New Zealand TAB will run a National Syndicate on the prestigious Harness Jewels race meeting in Ashburton on Saturday 30 May.
New Zealand Racing Board GM Racing & Wagering Bill Colgan said this was the first time the TAB had offered a National Syndicate in a number of years.
“The idea of the syndicate is that punters can get a share for a small investment of $5 or multiples of $5 and then be part of the action and excitement all day,” he said.
Professional harness tipster Stu Bailey will use the money from the National Syndicate to bet on the nine races at the Harness Jewels.
“On the day, Trackside Television, Radio Trackside, the TAB website and Teletext page 610 will provide details of the bets prior to each race along with a running pool balance," Mr Colgan said.
Stu Bailey is the editor of the weekly NZ Trot Guide, harness writer for The Informant, the Pick6 selector on Radio Trackside, harness tipster for SKY Channel and 2KY in Australia, and form analyst for the Australian Associated Press on all New Zealand harness racing broadcast across the Tasman. He also provides market assessment for the TAB Fixed Odds desk but will not contribute to the desk on Harness Jewels day.
Punters can get their share in the TAB National Syndicate for the Harness Jewels from today by taking a Win bet on Meeting 30, Race 1 on Saturday 30 May through TAB stores, Touch Tone (0800 10 20 33) and Phonebet (0800 10 20 30) or online via the TAB.co.nz website. The dividend for a $1 unit will be displayed approximately 20 minutes after the last race on the website and Teletext page 610.
The public will be able to keep up-to-date with the fortunes of the syndicate on Harness Jewels day via Trackside Television (SKY Digital Channel 35) and the TAB.co.nz website.
