In Conversation with Noel Cheer

‘In Conversation with Noel Cheer’ features a diplomat, an author and two former broadcasters.

Continuing its theme of bringing intelligent discourse to the public of New Zealand, the May lineup on Triangle’s ‘In Conversation’ contains an unparalled diversity of subject matter. On April 30th at 9:30pm (Stratos only), Jonathan Mane-Wheoki, recently of Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand, describes with authority the current exhibition of ‘Monet and The Impressionists’.

In the following week the guest is former diplomat Gerald McGhie with a description of diplomacy in the Pacific. In following week viewers may see the Libertarian advocate Lindsay Perigo who, some years ago, characterised New Zealand television as ‘brain dead’. The next offering is the author of young-adult fiction Bernard Beckett. The month rounds out with veteran media man Brian Edwards.

‘In Conversation with Noel Cheer’ is broadcast on Tuesday evenings on TelstraSaturn Cable (Channel 50) in Wellington, Kapiti and Christchurch at 8:00pm. Triangle Television Auckland broadcast time is 8:30pm Tuesdays. Also broadcast nationally on Stratos at 9:30pm on Thursdays on the satellite platforms Freeview (Channel 21) and Sky Digital (Channel 89).
