Cori & Co On the Edge
AUCKLAND - ONE NIGHT ONLY
For the second year running Cori Gonzalez-Macuer, as seen in C4 TV’s Jono’s New Show, Eagle Vs. Shark & winner of the 2006 Billy T Award will host a
ONE NIGHT ONLY comedy extravaganza with a difference – ‘Cori & Co on the Edge’.
Cori has recruited fellow comedians for this comedy showcase that promises to be a New Zealand International Comedy Festival event not to be missed.
An impressive line up will take to the stage in Auckland including some of New Zealand’s favourite award winning radio & TV comedians Dai Henwood, Ben Hurley, Steve Wrigley, Jesse Mulligan, Jamie Bowen, Simon McKinney, Noor Razzak, Irish comedian Maeve Higgins of Irelands most watched comedy show RTE’s Naked Camera & an extraordinary women who needs no introduction, the multi award winning Michele A'Court!
“The events so easy to pull together, everyone’s so willing to help the cause”, said Cori.
All acts are donating their time and talent for the event of which all profits will go to Children on the Edge schools & boarding houses on the Thai/ Burma border for vulnerable & orphaned children. They have fled the conflict of their homeland, Burma, needing a place of safety, free from war, oppression, persecution, hunger and child trafficking.
These forgotten victims live a life of poverty, but a little really does go a long way towards enriching the lives of these children. Last years show ‘Cori & Co on the Edge’, raised enough money to provide over 400 kids with nutritious meals for an entire year!
Michele A’Court, “It's a great gig to be part of - great comics, and the nicest people turn up. Usually I do comedy to feed my child, so it's nice to do a show that feeds several hundred all at once. Plus it's good for my soul."
