MTV New Zealand's "My Super Sweet 16" Returns
AUCKLAND, Monday 20th April, 2009 – it’s not just our friends on the other side of the world that will have their 16th birthday festivities broadcast on MTV, New Zealand has got in on the action!
“My Super Sweet 16” chronicles the highs and lows of teenagers as they plan and prepare for their big day; their 16th Birthday. Be it scenes of joy or moments of pure, bratty behaviour, “My Super Sweet 16” has always shown how lavish an affair it can be.
MTV New Zealand and Clean & Clear have teamed up once more to throw one lucky kiwi girl a 16th birthday party that she can only dream of – shopping sprees for outfits and professional hair and make-up for her and a best friend, a grand entrance to the party, a celebrity act and so much more.
Last year’s very first NZ SS16 winner, Charlene Weaver, beat out thousands of entries nationwide to win a chance to host a glamorous Hip Hop 16th birthday party which included an amazing dance routine and a performance from Hip Hop/R group Nesian Mystik.
If that wasn’t enough, Clean & Clear gave her a super sweet scooter on top of a cavalcade of other gifts.  This year the winner will enjoy a shopping spree at Dotti, Gorgeous jewellery from Bling and shoes for her and her best friend by Pulp!   Clean & Clear will also provide the winner with a full prize pack full of goodies so the winner will be looking hot for their party!
Now is your chance to follow in Charlene’s footsteps as MTV New Zealand document every inch of the action leading up to the big day on camera, to be screened the end of June.
Entry forms are available in Bling, Dotti and Hannahs stores nationwide and online at mtv.co.nz. Entries Close Sunday 14th May.
“My Super Sweet 16” broadcasts on Tuesday 30th June.
