HELL 13 Black winner has one HELL of a day
Mathew Thorp was woken early this morning by HELL, who turned up on his doorstep at 9am and gave him 10 minutes to pack a bag before he was taken by cab to the airport, flown to Auckland and chauffeured by limo to the home of entertainment SKYCITY, Auckland where he had to drop $13,000 on 13 Black.
Unfortunately today was not Thorp’s lucky day and he lost the $13,000. But it’s not all bad as he has won a trip for two to the home of sin, Las Vegas and $1,300 spending money.
The promotion was part of the 13 year birthday celebrations for the mischievous gourmet pizza company HELL. From Black Friday 13th March for a month, all customers who purchased HELL could enter into the “13 Black” promotion and were given a chance to win nearly half a million dollars by playing Roulette and placing $13,000 on number 13 Black.
“13 Black was about celebrating fun and escapism. We had a great response from our customers who love to see us having fun. Unfortunately we’re not always winners. However Mathew has won a trip to Las Vegas and $1,300 so it’s not all bad,” says The Head of HELL Colin Mellar.
“We’re glad Mathew still got to experience the thrill and excitement of SKYCITY despite not taking away any winnings. Best of luck to him in Vegas,” says Executive Manager Table Games for SKYCITY Auckland, Ejaaz Dean.
HELL has never been afraid to make a statement. With campaigns including the Pope, Hitler, Shappelle Corby, their Lust pizza and condoms, Thai Massages and the tribute to Sir Edmund Hillary – HELL has always strived to push boundaries to ensure they have fun in doing what it is they do best. After all, there’s no point running a boring business.
HELL will continue to supply delicious gourmet pizzas and embrace the very personality that has made them loved by so many pizza eaters.
