Try some Taranaki Culture at Puke Ariki these school holidays!

The place to be these school holidays is your local library. And with a range of activities planned, there’s something to keep children of all ages occupied!

Tying in with the Taranaki Culture: fresh out of box exhibition are these activities at Puke Ariki:

Tuesday 14 April – Portrait

2pm-3pm, Discover it! @ Puke Ariki

Sit for and draw a portrait like the first European settlers to Taranaki.

 

Thursday 16 April– Rad Rag Rugs

2pm-3pm, Discover it! @ Puke Ariki

Learn how to make a rag rug and create your own masterpiece!


Tuesday 21 April – Rugby Rulz!

2pm-3pm, Discover it! @ Puke Ariki

Calling all rugby fans! Wear your Taranaki colours and meet some of the TenderLink Taranaki rugby players!
 

Thursday 23 April – Portrait

2pm-3pm, Discover it! @ Puke Ariki

Sit for and draw a portrait like the first European settlers to Taranaki.

10.30am – noon, Inglewood Library

Brighten someone’s day with art! Create a work of art for the residents of a local rest home to enjoy. 
 

Tuesday 21 April – Fun with Poi

2.00pm-3.00pm, Oakura Library

Learn how to make pois and dance all week!
 

Wednesday 22 April – ANZAC Day Activities

10.30am – noon, Waitara Library

ANZAC day stories and activities for all children to enjoy.
 

Thursday 23 April – Pirates!
