Pork Pie Charity Run

Pork Pie Charity Run

MINI BY NAME, BIG HEART BY NATURE!

AUCKLAND, THURSDAY APRIL 2, 2009 – MTV New Zealand are stoked to announce that MTV’s Jay Reeve and ZM's Sarah Gandy are taking part in the inaugural Pork Pie Re Run which raises funds for The Starship Foundation.

The Pork Pie Charity run is taking place over the Easter weekend; anyone can enter their mini and drive the length of NZ and on the way raise money for The Starship Foundation. MTV New Zealand have teamed up with the good people at Mini NZ, and they now have a vehicle...all they need now is to raise some funds!!

MTV’s Jay and ZM’s Sarah are looking forward to driving the span of our beautiful country and meeting some of NZ's shiny happy people on the way! They'd love you to make a donation or help create some ideas for odd jobs along the way (see www. mtv.co.nz). MTV”s Jay Reeve actually said he would do ANYTHING for the big bucks – so let your imagination run wild…..

MTV New Zealand feels super lucky to be able to do this – so make sure if you see Jay and Sarah on the road say hello or give them a wave or a toot!

We need YOU to help the MTV/ ZM team raise funds - visit zmonline.com and tell us a job/task/service that Jay and Sarah can do to get a donation from you in your town and they could be stopping off on the trip to complete this... and collect the cash!!

The Starship Foundation is the charity set up to provide additional equipment, support and help to patients, their families and staff at Starship Children's Hospital. This is only possible through the generosity of those who believe in our cause and the strength of support for Starship, one of the country's most recognised icons which treats close to 100,000 patients each year from every town and city in New Zealand.
