Top NZ acts line up for Music on the Field 2009

Savage, Autozamm, Jason Kerrison (Op Shop), Annabel Fay, DJ Dai Henwood, and The Corporate Voice Experience are amongst the top kiwi acts that will be performing at this year’s biannual Music on the Field. The event is hosted by Bayfield Primary School in Herne Bay, Auckland, on Saturday 28 March.

With around six hours of live music, and gourmet food, a licensed bar, coffee and cakes, it’s a fantastic day for the whole family.

As a decile 10 school, locally raised funds are essential for the school to provide the quality education our community expects and in order to provide the students with the necessary learning equipment to meet the school’s vision “Preparing our children for their future”. MOTF is the major fundraising event of 2009.

Principal Sheryl Fletcher says the event is as much about community as it is about fundraising: “This event is not only about people who are involved with the school or those whose children’s attend here, it is about the whole community getting together to support each other.”

“We welcome hundreds of guests to the event every year and it really is a great occasion, and a chance for the community to interact. The parents and children have a lot of fun, and it’s also our way of saying thanks to everyone for their support.”

Also playing is Damian Alexander from Blindspott, The Fresh, and Hobo (comprised of ex-Bayfield students). Music on the Field has had a short but rich history and has hosted some of NZ’s major talent, showing support from past pupils, and parents of past and present students.
