MAGGIE BARRY ANNOUNCED AS NEW RADIO LIVE DRIVE HOST
One of New Zealand’s best loved interviewers, Maggie Barry, is to take over from Bill Ralston on the 4pm – 6pm Drive Show on RadioLIVE.
“I am extremely grateful to Bill for helping us out for the past two years,” said RadioLIVE Programme Director Mitch Harris.  “Bill has been looking to wind down his work commitments and has generously stayed on until we could find the right person,” he said.
Maggie Barry has most recently filled in on RadioLIVE hosting The World at Noon. “We had an overwhelmingly positive reaction to Maggie,” said Harris.
“She is an incredible woman with a wide range of interests.  This will be the first time that the full range of her broadcasting skills and interests will be combined in the one show, with up to the minute news, news makers, local and foreign correspondents and other programme elements,” he added.
Maggie Barry is looking forward to joining RadioLIVE. “I like the energy and fresh approach of the station and look forward to putting together a lively, compelling drive show that reflects all my interests in the one programme,” she said.
Maggie Barry starts on RadioLIVE on Monday 30 March.
She was awarded the ONZM for Services to Broadcasting in 1996.
