Skycity Cheer Team Cheer On The Blues From Top Of The Sky Tower
Three players from The Blues and members of the SKYCITY Cheerteam braved the perimeter of the Sky Tower to cheer for the team’s first home game this weekend.
Rudi Wulf, Chris Lowrey and Paul Williams took part in a Sky Walk which involves walking the 360° around the Sky Tower on a narrow walkway, suspended 192 metres, or 630 feet, off the ground.
Members of the SKYCITY Cheer Team were there to cheer them on, just as they will be at their first home game this Saturday night.
The Blues winger Rudi Wulf, says the experience was exhilarating.
“This was a wicked opportunity – to be be suspended at that height was unreal. Thanks to our associate sponsor, SKYCITY for giving us the Sky Walk experience.”
Team mate Paul Williams believes the Sky Walk was just the adrenalin rush they needed before meeting the Sharks this weekend.
“There’ nothing like stepping outside your comfort zone to get the adrenalin going – and this was definitely outside my comfort zone.”
The Blues and SKYCITY Cheer Team are looking forward to meeting Blues supporters this Sunday 8 March from 11am to midday at the SKYCITY Atrium.
