Top Gear Live Gala Dinner the Hottest Ticket in Town
Recession? What recession? Despite a hefty price-tag , tickets to the exclusive February 12th Top Gear Live Gala Dinner in association with Bridgestone have been snapped up by guests wanting to be the first to see the much talked about theatre show at the ASB Showgrounds.
Those lucky enough to attend will be the first to lay eyes on the fabulous cars and gadgets in the Luxury Car Exhibition as well as having premium seats to the first ever Top Gear Live show in New Zealand as Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond kick off their 10 show tour, joined by The Stig and New Zealand’s own Greg Murphy.
Dinner guests will also be the first in New Zealand to get to go backstage to the “Paddock” to see the cars used in the show and have the opportunity to meet some of the stunt drivers and crew.
And of course, guests at the dinner will be some of the only people to get close to Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson on their New Zealand tour, as both will be guests of honour at the event. And later they’ll be entertained by local stars Candy Lane Dancers and Peter Urlich and his swing band.
The Gala Dinner will see a guest list including Auckland dignitaries, media, motoring industry, Auckland celebrities and as well as the attendance of the Mayor of Auckland City, Hon. John Banks. Event organisers DMG World Media are extremely pleased to also have the attendance and support of the Rt. Hon. John Key, Prime Minister.
Top Gear Live Show Manager Brett MacLeod says; “The popularity of the Gala dinner, as well as the high calibre of guests is a vote of confidence in the amazing power of Clarkson, Hammond and the Top Gear brand. This live show is going to be amazing and those who attend will never forget it.”
The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation is the recipient of a Charity Auction to be held on the night and NZBCF Executive Trustee Heather Shotter says the organisation is thrilled to be involved. “It’s great to have the support of this exceptional international brand,” she said. “Top Gear is loved by both men and women and it is important to remember that men are also impacted by the effects of breast cancer on the women close to them. There are certainly some great items to bid on and we’re predicting that Afternoon Tea with the Prime Minister will be a very sought after item. We are very grateful for the Prime Minister’s support.”
Tables are $10,000 each (for 10 guests). There are still a few tables available at the dinner and tickets can be obtained through organisers DMG World Media.
