Big Wednesday Jackpots Into 2009

Big Wednesday’s First Division has jackpotted tonight and the first Big Wednesday draw of 2009 will have a prize pool of $2.5 million in cash plus luxury prizes, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

“Big Wednesday had 11 First Division winners in 2008 and made new multi-millionaires from Dunedin to the North Shore City,” says Mr McLeay.

On the first draw of 2009 on Wednesday 7th January, Big Wednesday players will be in to win:

- $2.5 million;
- a Porsche Cayenne;
- an Audi R8;
- a $250,000 American Express Platinum card;
- a $250,000 cash prize towards a luxury travel package;
- a Four Winns V258 boat;
- and a $750,000 cash prize towards a bach.

While the top prize was not struck, a lucky player in Taupo can cruise into 2009 after winning a Lexus IS250 in Big Wednesday’s Second Chance draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Lakeside Lotto and Deli Ltd in Taupo and the serial number is 219-24819714-13XX.

Every ticket bought for this Wednesday’s draw was entered in the Second Chance draw. The prize won was determined by the H or T selection on the first line of the ticket. As the ticket selection matched the coin toss in the draw, the ticket holder has won the Lexus IS250..

“Anyone who bought their Big Wednesday ticket from this store should check it immediately," Mr McLeay says.
