Hot-Rodders Accelerate
Don’t expect the hot-rodder’s to downsize in the current economic gloom, instead the NZ Hot Rod Association is expanding its operations.
Despite the current economic climate, the NZHRA has today announced the appointment of John Deely in a newly created role of Commercial Development Manager.
“Even though many companies may downsize, we see the need to expand membership and develop new income streams” said Daryl Gates, NZHRA president.
“Expansion in a time of recession can be a good strategy. It’s cheaper to implement and prepares the business for rapid growth when the economic tide turns” Deely said.
He believes that tougher economic times mean there will be many businesses willing to focus on alliances to bolster their marketing efforts.
“The key for success is to take advantage of the opportunities that many overlook in a shrinking market” he said “Charting a clear, well thought-out financial path through what may lie ahead was central to our decision to increase staff” Gates said.
NZHRA was incorporated in 1961 and is the largest per capita Hot Rod Association in the world with over 90 clubs and nearly 3000 members.
