Yellow to host Homemade Jam

Yellow to host Homemade Jam

A stellar line up, which will include a one-off reunion performance from former chart topping rockers Zed, has been announced for Homemade Jam at Vector Arena on December 11 2008.

Artists with careers spanning 25 years of New Zealandmusic history will be performing at the invitation only event. The line up includes: Dave Dobbyn, Elemeno P, When the Cat’s Away, Hello Sailor, The Feelers, Nesian Mystik, Jordon Luck, Zed, Atlas, OpShop, Anika Moa, Rikki Morris, Nathan King and Supergroove.

Homemade Jam is being hosted by Yellow™ as a thank you to key customers and partners.

Yellow™ CEO Dudley Enoka says it will be one hell of a night!

“We are known at Yellow™ for putting on a good party, but Homemade Jam is definitely something special – there will be 11,000 of us for a start, and some seriously good Kiwi acts on offer!

“We’re aiming to do things differently at Yellow™ and we hope our customers, staff and invited guests will appreciate our innovative approach,” says Mr Enoka.

For the boys from Zed, the Christchurchfour-piece who had top ten hits such as “Glorafilia” and “Renegade Fighter”, it’s a case of old friends back together again. The one-off performance at Homemade Jam will be the first time the band has played together since they disbanded in 2005.

Following the success of Zed, lead singer Nathan King has pursued a solo career, recently releasing his debut album The Crowd following a top 10 radio single “Never Too Late”. Other former Zed members Ben Campbell, Andy Lynch and Adrian Palmer have all featured in the line up of New Zealandchart toppers Atlas.

Entry to Homemade Jam is by invitation only. However a limited number of Kiwi music fans will have the chance to win tickets over the next month through special online, radio and television competitions. A limited number of media and photography passes are also available.
