Coldplay and Scott Dixon show their support for CanTeen


Take the CanTeen Bandanna Challenge 17 – 31 October 2008


CanTeen's Annual Bandanna Challenge will take place from this Friday until October 31. Bandannas will be on sale nationwide for just $4, and there are some fantastic designs to choose from including one designed by new ambassador Scott Dixon; The World’s Fastest New Zealander and newly crowned World Indy Racing Champion.

Alongside Dixon’s bandannas there are also designs from CanTeen Ambassadors Dan Carter and netballer Maria Tutaia, fashion designers Federation, and CanTeeners.

Also showing their support is legendary band Coldplay who have gifted their track ‘Fix You’ for use on the TVC.

This year there will also be a stellar celebrity auction on Trademe. A plethora of international stars are supporting the Bandanna Challenge and people can bid for bandannas on www.trademe.co.nz from 17 October signed by the likes of Donald Trump, Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom and Roger Federer.

CanTeen’s motto is its better when you’re not alone and as the national peer support network for 13-24 year old patients, siblings and bereaved siblings living with cancer, they know how important it is to be with people going through a similar experience.

Bandannas will be on sale nationwide for just $4 and are available through; Repco, Pak ‘n’ Save, New World, Four Square, BP, ASB, Burger King, Farmers and JeansWest outlets. Volunteers will be on the streets and in malls throughout the country along with hundreds of participating schools who will also be selling bandannas from October 17.

All money raised goes to providing social, emotional and educational support for patients, siblings and bereaved siblings living with cancer.
