Thistle Hall is a vibrant community centre in the heart of New Zealand's cultural capital. We provide a community hall,
meeting room and Wellington's only community gallery showcasing a range of artists and crafts people, from the
established to the emerging. Thistle Hall is located one the corner of Cuba and Arthur streets. The shows on at Thistle
Hall Community Gallery are run by the artists who hire it.

The gallery will be open from 11.00am – 7.00pm Tuesday to Sunday. John will be using the time creatively (only some say)
– with a trestle of wonderment, which he will be using to create further works. To see the artist in action week

My artwork is assemblages of vintage & antique objects; fabric, porcelain, ephemera, flotsam and jetsam. The array creates 3D, often tactile, sculptural
observations. Works are often fun, but designed to emote and reflect social, metaphysical and sometimes deeply personal
events. With this communion I hope to stimulate my audience, and evoke feelings on many levels, even if only a smile.

This exhibition showcases three emerging talents who are about to complete their fourth and final year of a Bachelor of
Design at Massey University.
The work featured is part of their final submission and is heavily research based.
