Winner of NZ’s biggest women only art exhibition

Masterton artist Taren Wood winner of NZ’s biggest women only art exhibition
Masterton’s Taren Wood won the top prize at the New Zealand women’s art exhibition which has just ended in Gisborne.
Wood’s supreme award-winning works was titled Life Under Mum’s Feet.
The event is New Zealand’s biggest women only art exhibition was staged at a former men-only club in Gisborne – the historical Poverty Bay Club.
Other award winners were Lina Marsh, Taryn Beri, Bernise Williams, Corinne Lidgard, Carol Montgomery all of Gisborne, Dagmar Andres Dahmen of Auckland, Mandy Emerson of Masterton, Janie Nott of Greytown and Chloe King of Hastings.
More than 120 women artists took part in the annual event.
