Kiwis Encouraged To ‘Feel Greatness’
SPARC is encouraging people to make the most of daylight saving with the Push Play Nation ‘Feel Greatness’ campaign launched on 28 September.
SPARC Push Play manager Deb Hurdle all kiwis and not just Olympic and world champions can ‘feel greatness’ by meeting personal goals in sport and physical recreation.
``It’s about getting out there and taking part, and generating a buzz from setting goals and achieving them,’’ said Hurdle.
The campaign is largely aimed at encouraging adults to be active and also to involve their families and friends.
``Whether the goal is to complete a 10km run or bike race, or take up salsa dancing, it’s about getting started and having a go,’’ Hurdle said.
The campaign features real New Zealanders telling their stories about how they managed to fit more activity into their lives, stick with it and feel the benefits.
Push Play, which is into its ninth year, promotes the fact that even small amounts of exercise can be beneficial.
